Boys Hall Moat

This moat (a scheduled ancient monument) is the original site of Boys Hall Manor, built in the 13th Century. A later owner of the hall, completely dismantled the hall and moved it to a new drier position. Where it currently stands. An archaeological survey was carried out on the site during the construction of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link nearby.
