The sign is on a post near the corner of Sea Lane & The Parade. It purports to be a portrait of King George V. The name below, George Gale & Co. Ltd., were brewers in Horndean, Hampshire. They were taken over by Fullers of Chiswick, London in 2005 & brewing was transferred there. The hotel, although offering accommodation, is these days as much a pub as a hotel, and indeed the Fullers website refers to it as a pub. http://www.fullers.co.uk/rte.asp?id=4&itemid=159&task=View Image Image
