The large red notice on Watchet station footbridge states "WARNING DANGEROUS STRUCTURE In the interest of public safety this footbridge has been temporarily closed to establish the extent of required repairs." The notice ends with directions to an alternative route, using the level crossing.http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1872814 A notice in Watchet station points out that maintenance of the footbridge is not within the West Somerset Railway's remit.
