Located at the junction of Nether Street and Ballards Lane, the trough is now in use as a flower bed. I doubt if this was its original position. The inscription reads 'In memory of John White of this parish, surgeon, obit AD 1868 and Emily his wife, obit AD 1891'. On the opposite side of the road a Tesco trolley seems to have died outside the public toilet.
