Seen from the proper road called Green Lane, this green track links Birchley Heath Road with the footpath which continues in the same south-westerly direction towards the main Nuneaton to Coleshill road near Springfield Farm. As this route follows the main hillside ridge in this area, is it possible that it is the remains of an old drovers' route?
