One of the rarer varieties of postbox, as Edward VII only reigned from 1901 to 1910. This postbox has therefore been standing here for at least 100 years. At the bottom of the box is the name of the manufacturer, McDowall Steven & Co. Ltd, London & Glasgow. They closed in 1909, but were resurrected some years later. Image
