A puzzle, because as a specimen tree it doesn't relate to any topographic feature, view or building. Maybe it is a surviving ornamental tree in parkland that has been converted to arable. Or it may be a self-sown tree that got away. In the foreground is the side of a deep hole, shown on OS Explorer as a pond. Aerial photos show a more extensive area of scrub but it has been ploughed out, right, to increase the area of arable.
