Looking towards Kidderminster's mainline railway station. The booking office etc. is on the left. On the right can be seen the passenger footbridge over the railway tracks, which links the two platforms. The present station is a basic functional late 20th century design and replaced the original 1863 half-timbered Great Western Railway station. Recently it was announced this insipid building will be demolished and replaced by a building which will match the nearby Severn Valley Railway's Kidderminster Town Station. The latter is an effective pastiche of the former Victorian GWR station at Ross-on-Wye. So the wheel will come full circle.
