View NE, towards Kinross, Perth also Thornton Junction; ex-NBR Edinburgh - Perth main line via Kinross, junction (a mile or so east) of line to Thornton Junction. On 4/1/70 the line to Kinross and Perth was closed and now trains run Edinburgh - Dunfermline - Cowdenbeath - Markinch, via Glenrothes (opened 11/5/92) in substitution for Thornton Junction.
