Spinkhill is one of those corners of England where the reformation never really happened. Thanks to the Pole family of Spinkhill Hall, a Roman Catholic tradition was maintained here that continues to this day, with the village dominated by this church - built between 1844 and 1846 - and a Jesuit boarding school.
