Cowling Hall, built sometime after the Raper family took over the manor C.1665. They demolished an earlier manor house, built by the Ayscough's, of which the northern wing was retained as servants quarters & stables. The Hall was remodelled again in the early 18thC with strengthened walls, a new roof, and a more classical appearance.
