The Friarage is number 4 - 5 Little Causeway. It dates from the 17th century and is a Grade B Listed building. The first floor windows always facsinated me when I was a child because they have diamond-shaped leaded window panes. Apparently it is said to have been a brandy-house, but how it got from there to being a friarage I have no idea. There have been few, if indeed any, friars in Scotland since it was built.
