There are more houses here than are shown on OS Explorer. On the right is Blackcroft, with triple garage and preposterous gates that a determined intruder could just drive round. Ostentatious houses have long been a feature of this part of the world, which offers remote-feeling countryside within easy reach of Birmingham.
