Soper Hall, on Harestone Valley Road, was built in 1911 and named after William Garland Soper (1837-1908) who was the first chairman of Caterham Urban District Council and has been described as the 'father of modern Caterham'. It served as the offices for Caterham and Warlingham UDC until 1974 when the offices for the newly-formed Tandridge District Council were established at Oxted. Today the hall is available for hire.
