A large fast steam winding engine by Markham & Co Ltd, Chesterfield in 1920. This is the No. 2 engine that stopped in 1980. No. 1 was already stopped and grubby. The two cylinders were 34" x 78" stroke and it could wind at up to about 80 feet per second in the shaft - 54.5 mph.
