This bench mark is on the base of a former gatepost to the former Wesleyan Tabernacle Chapel built in 1837. The mark is number 38 on the 1851-1852 Warrington to Pembroke Docks survey. The chapel closed exactly 100 years later when it became the library. The brickwork now supports a ramp to the front entrance and the stone has suffered some recent damage.
