The Victorian mill owner and worsted manufacturer James Lund had a country house [Malsis Hall] built near Glusburn in the 1860's, the roof and tower being visible amongst the trees. On the skyline is Lund's Tower, which Lund is thought to have erected for his daughter. Malsis Hall is now a private school.
