This is Preston Drove a busy highway crossing the northern part of Brighton east to west. This view looks across the valley in the middle distance towards West Blatchington on top of the distant hill. Preston Drove continues down into the valley. Continuing up the other side it changes into The Drove and finally into the Droveway. 'Drove' being a reference to the movement of cattle in the days when this area of Brighton was open countryside.
