This is where the Dudley Canal used to join the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. The appallingly small bored Lappal tunnel (7ft 9in wide, with a headroom of only 6 feet) is two miles to the west, but collapsed long ago. A large "brown field" site suitable for development is behind the graffiti covered fence. This is just north of the Bristol Road and Bridge No 80.
