Tythe Barn Lane Bridge (No 11) is about a hundred metres ahead. The canal was opened between King's Norton and Kingswood by 1803, then extended to Stratford during 1812-1815. This northern section has bridges which anticipated wider boats, but the original plans for a wide canal were soon abandoned.
