Situated in Ogle Road, SO14 7FB, this TE dates from 1953. The plaque by the main entrance door says that this building stands on the site of the former Hippodrome Theatre. It was here that Billy Reid, the musician, entertainer and songwriter (Born in Southampton 19th September, 1902) played to full houses during the 1930s and 1940s. Ogle House can be seen in the foreground.
