This spot is reputed to be haunted "for in the vicinity have been reported strange and macabre experiences concerning noises that could not be explained and that were linked to the unsettling experience of being watched. People have seen eyes and a disembodied hand ...... ". Source, Graham Dugdale local author and writer quoted from his weekly walks article in the Lancaster Guardian (April 28th 2008). Ooer!!
