Paddling the River Lune from the Image], the A684 is the first road to cross the river, and a possible take-out via the public footpath river left on the upstream side. However, that makes for a fairly short trip so most paddlers will continue, as we did, at least as far as the next road, the B6256 at Killington Bridge (Image]), which means paddling (or portaging) one exciting strid-type rapid (Image]).
