An unremarkable residential block, distinguished from its neighbours by its flat roof. In the early morning of 29th September, 1940, tragedy struck here when a German Luftwaffe bomber returning from an abortive raid on the Rosyth dockyard jettisoned a 500lb bomb which landed randomly on the house, killing three of its occupants: two young children, Ronald and Morag MacArthur, aged 7 and 5 respectively, and an elderly man in the flat above.
