A narrow courtyard that runs between Pudding Chare and Groat Market but not really in use as a thoroughfare. Its existence is an important reminder of Newcastle’s C19th social life and is a testament to the time in which courts and yards were commonplace in the city centre, a building trend which has long fallen from favour.
