Located on Clayton Street. Gwent Bridge Academy began in 1974 in rented premises in Newport High Street. The Academy relocated to its own premises in Clayton Street in 1991. The main room accommodates up to 20 tables; subsidiary rooms can provide a further 10 tables. The club has the largest membership in Wales. It is open for duplicate bridge every evening except Fridays and Sundays, and also on Tuesday afternoons.
