The inscription is: 'BURSTOW SUNDAY SCHOOL ERECTED 1859 FROM THE PROCEEDS OF A BAZAAR HELD AT BURSTOW HALL 3RD AUGUST 1859. "Suffer little children to come unto me." BUILT BY G. LEIGH AND W. KING.' The building is now used for other, less narrow, educational purposes, which hopefully involve less suffering.
