Various inner city regeneration projects are making very slow progress, and some areas are real eyesores. Here, however, the earlier dilapidated units have been replaced by a smart structure containing "luxury" apartments and business units. Hopefully these will be open, lively and thriving very soon. At the far end, is the detached veterinary practice, and this side of it the original early Victorian façade where the excellent Hughes and Holmes store was has been assimilated into the new building.
