This photograph shows a view of the public footpath that runs in a north-easterly direction from Carlton in Cleveland to the village of Kirkby. The access track to Bagdale Farm can just be seen in front of the hedge that runs across the picture. A part of Cote House Farm can just be seen above the hedge-row. Barley Hill lies just to the left of the hedge seen in the left-hand side of the picture.
