Previously known as the Newcastle Arms and in this location before the Tyne Bridge was constructed in 1928. The supporting legs of the Bridge are skewed to accommodate. Bede House and All Saints Church can be seen behind. Yet another of this establishments many changes of name 'The Pump House' is shown in this photo from the Newcastle Libraries Collection from 1995 http://www.flickr.com/photos/newcastlelibraries/4086431389
