The original pumping station can be seen in the background (at right), adjoined by a modern addition (in foreground right). The round doorway below is situated beneath the steps leading to the pump house entrance and leads to toilets. The back wall of the ancillary building dating from 1909 can be seen at left, in front of the east end of the workers' cottages.
