The Alder Carr > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1664433 is one of three habitats at the 90-acre Wild Duck (Haven) holiday park. Alder Carr is an ancient area of wet woodland with a very boggy bottom in which reeds, sedges, flag irises and marsh marigold thrive. The name is derived from the many large alder trees that grow here. The path leading past here > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1664559 runs along the old Great Yarmouth to Haddiscoe/St Olaves railway line which was closed in 1959.
