Slight mystery as to why this is called a manor house; it was doubtless a C17 farmhouse http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=86149&mode=adv . It sits beside the southbound carriageway of the A376, which here has a wide grassy central reservation (foreground).
