This was the former mission hall of St. Andrews Place United Presbyterian Church in Leith, Edinburgh, situated in Jane Street. The church itself is a Church Of Scotland Presbyterian congregation, founded in St. Andrews Street in 1787. They moved to a new building at the foot of Easter Road, near Leith Links in 1826, and changed the name to St Andrews Place. Jane Street was named after the wife of James Galloway, superior of the ground in 1869.c
