Wetherspoons pub at 1 Caradoc Road, on the northeast edge of Cwmbran shopping centre. Formerly The Moonraker pub. Who was John Fielding? In 1879, aged 21, then known as Private John Williams, he was awarded the Victoria Cross at the Defence of Rorke's Drift during the Zulu War. John Fielding died in 1932 and was buried in St. Michael's churchyard, Llantarnam.
