It reads THIS INFANTS SCHOOL ROOM WAS ERECTED IN THE YEAR 1898 TO COMMEMORATE THE DIAMOND JUBILEE OF HER MOST GRACIOUS MAJESTY QUEEN VICTORIA AT A COST OF ABOUT £360.
