It reads THIS INFANTS SCHOOL ROOM WAS ERECTED IN THE YEAR 1898 TO COMMEMORATE THE DIAMOND JUBILEE OF HER MOST GRACIOUS MAJESTY QUEEN VICTORIA AT A COST OF ABOUT £360. THE AMOUNT WAS RAISED BY VOLUNTARY SUBSCRIPTIONS, DRAWS FROM SOCIETIES AND A SALE OF WORK. REV. J. R. CHARLESWORTH GEN. MARSAK THE LATE. LADY JEPHSON COL. STAPLETON MR. BOND SCHOOL MANAGERS A. W.
