Set in a small hamlet on the far side of a valley from the main modern part of the village, and with a distinctively polygonal stair-turret. "The church stands high on a hill and was mentioned by Polwhele as a mark of sailors using Exmouth" http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1216459&searchtype=mapsearch .
