Most of the roads on the East Cliff have recently had these ticket machines installed over the last few weeks, bringing to an end free commuter parking for the Lansdowne area. A notice on the machine states that the charging does not come into effect until Monday 30 November, but there was a story in today's (26th) paper suggesting that hundreds of motorists have nevertheless paid to park!
