Three communication icons under threat especially in rural areas. Post office closures are a reality and already happening and pay phones are under threat because most of the population have a mobile phone or four given the amount that are allegedly sold. The third communication is the sun reflected Royal mail post van whose operatives are in dispute at the time of the photograph with Royal Mail management about modernisation and working practices. It will be interesting to see in 10 years if these three pillars are still offering a universal service.
