This is a very substantial bridge for a very little-used footpath. It is quite well hidden from the approach from the north and a sign just before it is reached tends to divert the walker confusingly upstream along the bank of Deepdale Beck, from where the bridge is still hidden by the riverside hedge. Don't get your feet wet - the bridge is just a few metres away from where the path drops down. At least it is a lot more obvious from both paths which approach from the south.
