The lane past Shobley featured a variety of animals when I walked along it: ponies, cattle, and this fine sow, whose behaviour suggested that she had rather more right to be at large on it than I did. Notices in the background indicate the proximity of the perpetually busy A31 dual carriageway, but one notice is for the cattle grid that will presumably prevent her from gaining access to it.
