Early records show that in 1852 wines and spirits were sold from the premises. In 1869 the premises sold amongst other items reindeer tongues. By the turn of the 20th Century the premises was converted into a public house known as The Globe Inn. It changed its name to Tivoli Tavern in the 1970's.
