View west to the setting sun. This bridge carried the Charnwood Forest Railway, which runs along an embankment east of Thringstone. The old trackbed above is now a cycle way. The woodland here is noted for vast carpets of bluebells in spring and the railway was once referred to as 'the bluebell line'.
