This little postbox serves what would be considered the main village, while the parish has a couple outlying hamlets such as West and East Melbury which each have their own. It is emptied finally at 5pm on weekdays and at 10:30am on Saturdays. The shapely slopes of Melbury Hill can be seen in the background.
