Described by Pevsner at 'High Victorian fastasy' Foscombe was built in 1866-7 by Thomas Fulljames as his retirement home. Here the house is viewed from the bridleway to the south-east. In the late 1970s and early 1980s this was the home of Rolling Stone's Charlie Watts.
