Joseph Geldart and Sons, whose sign says they were established in 1880. On the north-east side of New Road Side, between Featherbank Lane and Sunnybank Avenue. Looking north-west along New Road Side. The building occupied by KD Carpets was previously the showroom and garage of Renault Horsforth (I bought a Renault Scenic there in 1999). Joseph Geldart and KD Carpets were still in these premises in 2021, 15 years after this photo was taken. See also Image
