This roundabout brings back some memories. In May 1980, I was on a sponsored walk from Brighton to Windsor with about 25 others. Sunday was the middle day of the walk, and early evening saw three of us approaching this roundabout from the Ranmore Common direction (right of picture), and heading for West Horsley Village Hall (down the hill to the left of picture). Well; the roads were quieter in those days, and we probably hadn't fully sobered up after the lunch-time session, but we walked a complete circuit of the roundabout before continuing. I decided against attempting to repeat the feat!
