This lamp post is extremely rare - it's made by Thorn (the same Thorn that makes Thorn EMI records and Ferguson televisions) and is sold as a Beta 9. Unfortunately, it was replaced in February of this year by more modern installations. Lucky I caught this while I did! Alpha Road is also shown on the OS map as a B road, for reasons which are beyond me! View taken looking north-northwest.
