Also known as Nicholson's Crossroads. This has been the scene of a number of bad accidents over the years. The main reason for this is that traffic from the Leapoges Road (emerging from the left in the photo) is unable to see traffic coming over the crest of the hill from Ballykeel. Likewise traffic from the Dromore Road (emerging from the right in the photo) is unable to see Kinallen-bound traffic. With the expansion of Kinallen since the late 1990s the junction has seen a sharp increase in traffic levels. In addition to this, the most popular route from Dromore to Dromara crosses the staggered junction, adding to the danger.
