This man - now cast in metal - revolutionised agriculture not only in his native Ulster, but all over the world. Harry Ferguson (1884-1960), who was born the house behind the gate (Image) is famous for inventing the tractor - as well as being a distinguished engineer. This gate and statue is fixed in the Harry Ferguson Memorial Garden in Growell townland, Magheraconluce Road between Annahilt and Dromara/Dromore.
